Tri-Ring Forging annual sales top $100 million and it annually produces 50,000 tons of forging products, including supplying most of the truck OEM businesses in China with steering knuckles. Under the leadership of President Hu Dao Cai, it is seeking to double its size by 2011. In its new plant in Hubei Province, Tri-Ring Forging will install a 16-ton hydraulic hammer, the largest in all of Asia.

5月13號，底特律宏健國際Auto Salon董事長黃宏郎開始了為期一周的大陸商務考察與洽談。湖北三環鍛造股份公司與宏健國際公司已經合作快三年，出口產品到北美。本次宏健國際董事長到訪，三環鍛造極其重視，派車全程接送，並且張運軍副總經理全程接待。
湖北三環鍛造有限公司是生產汽車零部件和鋼質模鍛件的專業化企業，國內最大的中重型汽車轉向節生產廠家，東風汽車公司定點配套廠。公司現有員工1100餘人，各類專業技術人員328人。公司占地面積21萬平方公尺。公司位於襄樊與十堰之間的穀城縣，襄渝鐵路和漢十高速公路穿境而過，交通十分便利。公司現擁有固定資產1億多人民幣，機械設備500餘台（套），形成了以世界最先進的德國進口的6300噸電動壓力機為主體的7條鍛造生產線，以數控連續式推杆爐為主體的7條熱處理生產線，以數控車床、組合機床為主體的9條機加生產線, 以數控線切割，數控銑床、數控鏜床、電脈衝機床為主體的3條模具加工生產線。化學分析、金相、硬度、探傷、拉伸試驗、三座標等檢測手完備，品質保證體系健全，已通過ISO9001：2000和ISO/TS16949品質體系認證。

三環公司在這十年時間已經取得了非常矚目的成果，但三環並沒有滿足現在成果，反而在這樣的全球金融風暴大環境下逆勢突破，購地200畝（合33英畝）大興建造新廠區。該新廠區分三期建造，一期工程已完成超過一半，廠房已建造完成。目前正在進行地基建設及鍛造設備的安裝階段。預計在2009年底即可試投產。正常生產後，三環公司的年營業額將從現在的6億人民幣增長到12億人民幣。新廠區將要安裝的關鍵設備是16T 模鍛錘設備。三環現投產的有10T的模鍛錘，全國最大的模鍛錘為16T。當三環新廠區投產後，將擠身全國之最。
三環公司現在已有相當規模的出口量，但新廠區投產後需要更多的出口量。所以張總亦非常重視與宏健國際的合作。當張總聽到宏健黃董事長詳細介紹今年8月14日-15日於底特律舉辦的早餐祈禱會後，非常興奮，並表示希望能合辦一場鍛造產品發佈會，推薦來自三環公司品質精良、具競爭力的鍛造品。宏健黃董事長特地邀請三環在8月15號到底特律參加早餐祈禱會。張總非常感謝宏健給予這樣的機會與平臺使三環有可能得到更多的北美市場。
