On November 4, 2009 9 am，Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), started a seven-day "Taipei -Guangzhou Economic and Trade Week" in Taipei. The Guangzhou delegation with 185 people attended this trade mission. Chairman of TAITRA, Mr. Chih-Kang Wang stated “Guangzhou’s economy develops fast and the per capita income grows 10% each year. There are a lot of opportunities in the trade exchange with Guangzhou”. The Guangzhou delegation committed to invest at least "two million" (U.S. dollars) in Taiwan. And Taiwan's products will definitely meet their expectation. This is not a one time business but it helps to develop a sustainability of the partnership.
